Ottawa Snow Plowing Services

Thank you for considering Yates Exterior Services (Y.E.S.) for your snow plowing this upcoming season. We provide the following Snow Clearing Services:

Our Regular Service: Includes clearing of driveway only, to within 3 ft of any structure or garage.
Our Premium Service: Includes clearing of driveway PLUS same day front walkway to first entrance door, PLUS front of garage doors.

Clearing of all snowfalls over 5 cm.

• From November 15th, this year, through to and including March 31st next year.
• Subject to a limit of 250 cm or 17 visits, whichever occurs first (based on Environment Canada Stats) after which per plow rates will apply (per plow rate = 8% of contract and is billed April 1st).
• If less than 10 cm is forecast, clearing will occur after the event, regardless of the time.
• During large snowfalls, (10 cm or more forecast) driveways may need "opening up" with a quick pass to allow passage for target times of 7 Am & 4 PM. We will then follow with a full clearing (including walkway if applicable) after the storm subsides. Note: when 2 visits are required on heavy snowfalls, 2 visits are applied to the 17 visit limit.
• One clearing of the end of lane after the munipal plow is included per snowfall visit (if required).

• Clearing snow drifts between snowfalls
• Clearing after vehicles have been moved
• Sand / Salt service
• Holiday walkway clearing

Important notes

• Y.E.S. will mark all driveways with wood markers, prior to ground freeze-up
• Y.E.S. CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE for damage to items or property, if unmarked and buried under snow. Please be sure to clear driveways for toys, extension cords, etc.
• GRAVEL DRIVEWAYS MAY NOT BE PLOWED after the first OR last storm if the ground is not frozen. Establishing a packed snow "base" will prevent gouging of driveway and excess gravel spreading
  • Clean-up for gravel driveway is available in Spring by request only (at our labour rate of $65.00/man hour)
• ALL VEHICLES must be parked in garage, or close to house, to allow good access to your driveway
  • Return visits to clear around parked vehicles IS NOT included in the visit
• SANDING & SALTING are NOT included in our contract but are available and billed upon request

However:

• A SANDING & SALTING charge will apply if required to safely & efficiently clear your driveway after an ice storm or flash freeze. We will bill you at 10% of your contract amount. (example: $500 contract, sand & salt application would be $50.00 + GST).
